Bayer Becker
Bayer Becker is a leading architecture and engineering firm known for its integrated design services across the Midwest. Their previous website lacked clarity in messaging, suffered from poor navigation, and did not reflect the caliber of their work.
The goal was to improve how the firm is perceived online—boosting discoverability, improving SEO, and helping potential clients better understand the range of services offered. The site also needed to feel more current and visually cohesive.
Redesigning an architecture firm’s website to help people understand what they do—and why they’re great at it.

Discovery & Research
We began by speaking with internal stakeholders to understand their priorities and how the site was being used. Using a figjam discovery session, we were able to get a clear sense of what wasn’t working—from unclear messaging to missing content paths
Alongside this, we audited the existing site and ran a competitor analysis to see how similar firms were positioning themselves online. What stood out was how difficult it was for users to find relevant information on the current site. Projects weren’t well categorized, and important details were buried in dense content. That became our starting point.
UX Strategy
From there, I worked on restructuring the site’s information architecture to make it more intuitive and user-friendly. We organized the content in a way that aligned with how potential clients typically browse—by service type, sector, or project scale. I simplified the navigation and created a clearer page structure to reduce friction and make it easier to explore the firm’s work. We also introduced a more flexible project filtering system, which made a big difference in helping users discover relevant case studies and services.
Visual Design
Visually, I wanted the site to feel clean, confident, and contemporary—while staying aligned with Bayer Becker’s brand. The new UI introduced a more neutral and modern color palette, increased white space, and a stronger visual hierarchy to make content easier to digest. High-quality photography of their built work took center stage, and the overall layout focused on clarity and structure. Everything was designed in Figma with responsiveness and scalability in mind, so the experience feels consistent across devices.
The Outcome
The redesign successfully brought clarity, structure, and modern design to Bayer Becker’s digital presence. It made it easier for users to understand what the firm offers and why they’re different. The site now supports better search visibility, stronger storytelling, and a smoother user journey. The client was especially happy with how the new design elevated their portfolio and presented their services in a more strategic, professional way.
